I graduated high school from Haileybury College in 2021 with a 99.95 ATAR, and completed my Bachelor of Science (Pure Mathematics) alongside a Diploma of Languages (Japanese) at the University of Melbourne in 2025. I am currently working towards a Master of Science (Pure Mathematics) and am actively engaged in mathematical research. My extensive 4 years of private tutoring experience is supplemented by running undergraduate mathematics classes at the University of Melbourne, alongside additional work in classroom settings at schools and after-school / holiday tuition centres. Students describe me as patient, understanding, and able to adapt to individual learning styles. I primarily tutor VCE maths and physics, but also provide support in year 9 and 10 maths, computer programming, and a variety of university-level maths and physics subjects.
I am available in person near Bayside, Parkville, or the CBD, and alternatively online via Zoom.
I charge $80/hour, with discounted rates available for financially disadvantaged students.
I have a valid Working with Children Check.
I offer support to all kinds of students—from those who are struggling to following along in class and have fallen behind, to those looking to perfect their skills and excel. I have worked with a large range of students over the years and this experience allows me to personally tailor my teaching style to fit each individual, helping them achieve and exceed their goals. Everyone learns things differently, so when working with a new student I pay attention to (and ask!) which styles of explanation click and which don't, adjusting my teaching accordingly. As a general theme, I tend to place an emphasis on why something is true and seek to build an understanding of the reasoning behind the concepts we study, presenting information in a logical way to give students the sense that with enough thinking they could have come up with it themselves. I provide advice regarding study skills alongside concrete strategies to help students manage time and revise more effectively on their own. For VCE subjects, I use insights from VCAA examination reports and study designs to help students nail commonly overlooked details.
I achieved a 99.95 ATAR, with raw scores of 49 in Physics, 49 in English, 44 in Specialist Maths, and 46 in Maths Methods.
In addition to high school and VCE tutoring, I also am able to provide assistance at a university level. University of Melbourne subjects I am familiar with are listed to the right. I can also help with similar subjects at other universities, though I may be less familiar with the marking criteria.
I am also experienced with a range of programming languages including C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Rust, C#, and more. I can provide assistance to students interested in learning to code.
